Volunteers are the beating heart of Brooklyn Community Pride Center. Some folks come in weekly to support our reception desk. Some people give of their time and talent to facilitate or lead groups for the community. Still others volunteer their skills as photographers, hondy-persons, or with other skilled tasks. Whether you can commit to an ongoing role, or just want to lend a hand at special events, get started by filling out this form.

However, we have temporarily paused our volunteer intake process. 

Since the election of 2024, we have had an outpouring of new interest in volunteering. More interest than we can accommodate by far. Many of these wonderful people are expressing similar sentiments: a desire to connect with community, to get more involved, and to do something positive.

To those people we say thank you.

 

But we also say, you don't have to volunteer to get involved. We invite you simply came in and begin participating in the existing programs of the Center. Come join a games group, learn martial arts, play basketball, participate in a book club, enroll in a support group, or take up a new hobby.

And if you're in a position to do so, a financial contribution to our work is more important than ever in helping us provide community space, health and wellness resources and other supports for the LGBTQ+ community of Brooklyn in the coming years.
