Everyone in our community has a story about their first time experiencing Pride, and the wonder and appreciation at the sense of community that comes from our annual festivals and parades. We want to share those stories with My First Pride.

Make a donation to Brooklyn Community Pride Center that celebrates your first Pride by converting the year of your first Pride experience to dollars and cents.
For example, if your first Pride was in 1996, you would donate $19.96 to help support our programs in the coming fiscal year. Then share your My First Pride experience and donation on social media using #myfirstpride.
Your My First Pride donation will help Brooklyn Community Pride Center run LGBTQ+ affirming programs in areas that include:
  • Social Isolation
  • Workforce Development including Pride Path for Young Adults, which helps LGBTQ+ people between 18-24 find career-track employment
  • Immigration
  • Health & Wellness
  • Homelessness, including Pride Pantry, which offers hygiene supplies to LGBTQ+ people experiencing homelessness
