About our Bed Stuy location:

Officially opened on October 11, 2017 (National Coming Out Day), Brooklyn Community Pride Center’s first long-term location is located at Restoration Plaza in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.

With two conference/meeting rooms and six offices, the defining feature of this facility is our comfortable drop-in public area where guests can pick up information about the community, read a book or play a game from our library, access free wi-fi or use one of our public computers, or simply hang out with friendly and welcoming people.

As we expand throughout Brooklyn, this space will continue to house our youth services, drop-in vibe, and workforce development programs.

About our Crown Heights location:

Dedicated on October 19, 2021 and opened shortly thereafter, the Crown Heights space is located on the ground floor of the newly renovated Major R. Owens Health and Wellness Community Center (formerly the Bedford Union Armory). This facility houses the management headquarters for Brooklyn Community Pride Center. With a large, flexible community space, we have a communal workspace environment for small LGBTQ+ groups, freelancers, entrepreneurs and the like.

In partnership with Callen-Lorde, Crown Heights will also be home to Brooklyn’s first dedicated LGBTQ+ mental health service. We are collaborating with other non-profit organizations in the Major Owens Community Center to develop a variety of sports and fitness activities.
