LIVE! with the Queer Pundit on Death Row at Brooklyn Community Pride Center

LIVE! with the Queer Pundit on Death Row

The 1st Thursday every month
6:30 to 7:30 PM

Join our monthly live Zoom conversation with Messiallah, the Queer Pundit on Death Row, hosted by Jako Douglas-Borren of Brooklyn Community Pride Center.

Messiallah has been on death row for 23 years and during this time has had a tremendous amount of time to reflect on both his life and life in general.
During the May conversation, we will cover the following:
  • Life on death row, facing execution by lethal injection
  • The impact of witnessing 32 executions in a span of 8 years
  • Life in prison as a queer person, navigating the controversy of the stigma of being queer
  • Redemption and reform while waiting to die
There will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions and engage in dialogue with Messiallah.
