Generation Rebel Talks Radical Self-Care: That Deep Self-Love

Generation Rebel Talks: Radical Self-Care: That Deep Self-Love

Due to COVID-19 this is an online virtual event. See below to join.

Friday, September 25th from 3 to 4 PM

Amidst a perfect storm of COVID-19 & state sanctioned violence, perhaps to be Black and Brown and queer in America in 2020 is to be in a constant state of mourning. But what if we challenged that notion? What if we had the audacity to also reach for love & joy?
In collaboration with GRIOT Circle and Cumbe Dance, Brooklyn Community Pride Center invites you to join us for the second round of Generation Rebel Talks, a three part series of intergenerational conversations celebrating love as the ultimate revolutionary act. Together, let’s nourish ourselves, nourish our community and organize ourselves to build the world we want to live in.
Black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet, Audre Lorde said:

“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence. It is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.”

Join Burlesque Icon Chicava Honeychild to talk strategy around radical self care. Chicava will share her above top secret, super charged bathing ritual. A combination scents, salts, Tao meditation and spiritual mind treatment, Agape International style, for deep self love, connection and shoring up your energy to rock out these challenging times. Let’s get in touch with what brings us joy and nourish it. For how can we show up for each other, if we can’t show up for ourselves?
Join this session via Zoom (Meeting ID: 861 0929 2250).
