Brooklyn LGBTQ+ History Series

To help celebrate WorldPride NYC and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, Brooklyn Community Pride Center is hosting a three-month series of book readings, talks, discussions, movie screenings, and other events to highlight the history of the LGBTQ+ community, especially as it happened in Brooklyn.
SCHEDULE:
April 25, 7-8 PM
Jennifer Miller, director and founder of Circus Amok, on queer Coney Island entertainment.

May 9, 7-8 PM
Rachel Corbman leads a panel of researchers from the Lesbian HerStory Archives. Guests may include:

May 23, 7-8 PM
The Society for Creative Anachronism will have a presentation on LGBTQ+ life in the middle ages.

June 1, 12 Noon
Walking tour of LGBTQ+ Brooklyn with Hugh Ryan will meet at the Brooklyn War Memorial in Cadman Plaza and end at the Brooklyn Historical Society.
